The Past Can Come Back---To Kill You

The circle is still adjusting to the recent binding ritual and Faye is not taking it well. "What happened to my magic?" she accuses Diana. "The books says you just need to have another member of the circle present." In a nut shell, their individual powers are gone. Diana also tries to get Cassie to fully be apart of the circle or at the very least a friendship. Cassie still declines. She bound the circle to keep people safe, but wants no involvement in the circle.

In her efforts to avoid the circle, Cassie befriends Sally (the girl Faye "killed" last episode) and decides to help her with the dance. There is also a friend of Adam's, named Luke, who has his eye on Cassie. "Give me an introduction?" he asks Adam. Reluctantly, Adam replies, "Sure." He stops Cassie at her locker in the hall and introduces Luke. Awkward. After giving Cassie a few longing stares both he and Sally bow out. Luke asks her to the dance, but Cassie rejects him. "Raincheck?"she asks.

Later at the Boathouse Grill, Cassie is talking with Sally. Both she and Adam are constantly looking at each other. "So Luke asked you to the dance?" Sally questions. "Sort of, I guess," said Cassie. "But you turned him down?" "Kind of," says Cassie, still watching Adam. "Because you can't stop starting at Adam." "What?" snaps Cassie. "No. Not at all. Adam's dating Diana." "And yet for some reason he can't stop staring at you either." As Cassie leaves, Adam stops her to ask her about Luke. He asks her if she's going to the dance with him. "Maybe," she replies. Adam walks away. To make him jealous, she asks Luke out.

As Cassie leaves the Boathouse, a man named Zachary Larson approaches her and tries to get her admit that she's a witch. He grabs hold of her and Diana comes out. Together, the two girls flung Zachary back against the car. "I won't let this happen again." Turns out, Zachary's girlfriend Heather, was related to the fire that killed the circle's parents. And she wasn't just another victim. "Amelia did something much worse," he claims near the end of the episode. He blames Amelia and the rest of the original circle and hunts the kids down for revenge. When Charles and Dawn find out, Charles goes to talk to Zachary. After a swift beating, Zachary whips out a knife. "I only have to kill one," he says and he heads to the school.

While at the dance Sally, gets Adam and Cassie to dance together and Adam talks to her about their relationship. The two try to figure out a way to make it work. "I don't know, Cassie," mutters Adam. Diana runs in and announces that Faye was attacked at the old house by Zachary Larson and both she and Adam run out to the hall to join the rest of the circle. When Luke interrupts, Cassie goes back into the dance with him. The date does not end well, and after Luke leaves, she goes to find the rest of the circle. Unfortunately, she runs into Zachary. The circle frantically searches for Cassie and finds her at the mercy of Zachary's knife. Together (well mainly Adam, who else?) throw Zachary against the ceiling and knock him out. Dawn finds the children and both she and the kids by each others lies to hide what really happened.Charles and Dawn kidnap Zachary and mark him, warning him to never threaten their kids again.

What did Amelia really do to Heather? How much longer can Cassie and Adam hide their feelings from each other. Thoughts, comments, questions?

What?!?

The title of this post directly relates to my feelings while watching The Vampire Diaries last night. As if things weren't complicated enough, let's add another girl for Stefan to dwell on and suffer over for the next one-hundred and fifty years. Only one problem, whether he admits it or not, EVERYONE knows he is still in love with Elena. Exhibit A: the phone call from the premiere. Exhibit B: the fact that he didn't tell Klaus Elena was in the closet when he found her in there. Yet he still decides to stay with Klaus. As much as he believes he is doing it for Elena, I have a feeling he is enjoying his Ripper lifestyle just a little bit. "I've left bodies scattered from Florida to Tennessee. Innocent people, humans," he says. Right, and why would you want that to continue if it's not who you really are? Why would you not let them at least try to help you? Come Stefan, use your head.

The episode had a quaint 1920's feel, you know plus a ton of blood and fangs. Stefan and Klaus go to visit a witch named Gloria, the jazz singer from the club Stefan attended in the twenties. Klaus is still trying to discern why his attempt at a hybrid army failed, and Gloria has the answer. But she needs Klaus' sister, Rebecca, to do that. Not only is there the threat of another original on the loose, but she also happens to be another woman Stefan was in love with. Only Stefan doesn't remember. Why? Klaus wiped his memory.

Elena and Damon continue searching for Stefan and Klaus and Damon still tries to put the moves on Elena. She wakes up at six in the morning on top of Damon's chest (yeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!). "You know you were dreaming about me, explains the drool," he smirks. "Do you really have nothing better to do at 6 am?" she asks. Personally I would love to wake up on his chest every morning ,but that's just me ;). Thanks from a tip courtesy of Katherine, Damon tells Elena that Stefan and Klaus are in Stefan's old hunting grounds, Chicago. "He's in Chicago? How do you know?" asks Elena. "Came to me in a dream. I was naked. You would have loved it." Um, yes I would have thank you very much. Anyway, the two arrive at his abandoned apartment and Elena, in Stefan's "alcohol" closet, discovers a list of names of all the people Stefan's murdered. He takes their names to relive the kill over and over. "Still think you can handle this?" asks Damon.

Little by little pieces of Stefan's past are revealed. He makes a gentleman drink a glass of his wife's blood just to torture him and we find out his relationship with Rebecca grew stronger when they fed together. He was in love with her. (Just like Katherine, although that's still debatable, and just like Elena. Come on Stefan, just pick one.). A group of hunters after Klaus and Rebecca cause them to flee and Klaus wipes Stefan's memory. "You will not remember us until I tell you to." When Rebecca finds out, she is furious and Klaus stakes her for future purposes. On the way out of the club, however, Rebecca drops her necklace. What necklace may you ask? Why the one Stefan filled with vervain and gave to Elena (who is supposed to be dead) for protection. It also happens to be the necklace Klaus needs for Gloria to figure out what went wrong in the sacrifice, but who needs details? "I'm never coming home," he tells her. That's obviously not going to last long.

In an unrelated story, Caroline is being conditioned by her father to relate her vampirism to the pain of the sunlight. I say this, as rude as possible, the humans in this show tended to get dumber and dumber. Since when does a human practice work on a vampire? And he is supposed to have grown up knowing about vampires? He didn't learn very much. In a heroic team-up between Liz Forbes and Tyler Lockwood (yeeeep again), the two free Caroline. Later that night at home, Caroline says to her mother, "Thanks for not giving up on me." After her mom leaves, Tyler holds Caroline. "He hates me," she cries. "My dad hates me." I was in tears.

Klaus decides to pay a visit to Stefan's old apartment as well, while Damon had stepped out and Elena was there alone. She hides in the closet. It was the smoothest cover-up I've ever seen. Stefan looks in the closet and sees a Elena, barely flinches, and says, "Look what I found." What does he hand over? Not Elena, but a bottle of liquor. Held my breath on that one. Now try and tell me he doesn't love her.

As much I stand by that fact, the replacement of his memories may cause something of a problem. "I remember you," he says to Klaus at the end of the episode. Stefan looks across the room. "Rebecca." The episode concludes with a shot of Katherine in Chicago and she is certainly up to no good.
So once again I say "What?!?" Thoughts, comments, questions?

Leviathan

Here it is (a little late I apologize)...my recap for the Supernatural season seven premiere! In my opinion it was the most incredible supernatural premieres ever aired and it gave us quite a lot to think about. We rejoin our favorite brothers in the room where Castiel has appointed himself God. He warns the brothers (and Bobby) that they will bow down and worship and love him or they will be punished and that's exactly what he does to other unfaithful people throughout the episode. "For your sake, I hope this is that last time you see me." Fully charged with the souls from purgatory and other things (we'll touch on that in a bit) he sets off to begin his smiting.

The first place he visits is the church of a hypocritical priest. I got the hint it was a jab at the Westboro Baptist Church and its congregation. "...that's why we protest their weddings and funerals," says the priest and he goes onto to say how this is what God wants. Enter Castiel. He announces he is God and that the one thing he can't stand are hypocrites like the priest (who is killed by coughing up his lies and deceit...literally). As Castiel walks out to leave, a voice enters his head. "Castiel..." it calls in an angry whisper. He turns his head to the stain glass window with a picture...of Jesus. When Cas turns his head again it becomes a picture of him. God (the real one) is not taking this well.

Dean is fixing the Impala (again) where he and Bobby discuss the looming threat of the all-new God and if Sammy has really recovered from the wall, defending against his memories of hell, breaking. It is apparent very early in the episode that Sam is hiding relapses from Dean and Bobby (probably under that long hair of his...GET A HAIRCUT! Sorry.). After some very witty banter including, Dean: "Before I get kicked in the daddy pills," and Bobby: "I lost my God gun so..." Dean: "Don't worry Bobby, I got a spare you can borrow," things become quite hairy.

Crowley reveals that Castiel has swallowed a lot more than the souls of deceased creatures from purgatory, but also the first beasts, Leviathan. They are seen trying to break through the skin of Castiel's vessel (ewww) and the vessel begins to wear down. Despite Castiel's intentions being noble (apparent when he heals the blind man), he has taken on more than he can handle and became obsessed with power. After Sam, Dean, and Bobby bind Death and try to kill Castiel (where he shows up, frees Death, and almost kills the boys), Death agrees to create another eclipse so the door to purgatory can open. If they can get Castiel to relinquish to souls back to purgatory all will be as it was. "And if you try to bind me again," Death warns, "you'll be dead before you start."

When Leviathan causes Castiel to black out and murder a campaign office of all its members, Castiel begins to strongly feel remorse more than his love for power and goes to the brothers for help. As they wait for the eclipse, Castiel spirals downward fast. At 3:59am when the eclipse hits, Castiel releases the souls back to purgatory and dies. A few seconds later he wakes up. "That was unpleasant." Dry humor back, Castiel safe, the world is back to normal. All is well. For about thirty seconds. Turns out Leviathan held on inside him and takes control of Castiel. On top of that, Sam is still having hallucinations of the devil and has now disappeared into thin air. "This is going to be so much fun," sneers a Leviathan-fueled Castiel.

Obviously there's tons of questions. Here's what I came up with. Is God going to ever show up in the series? He was talking in Castiel's head so that has to mean something. Where is Sam? He was just, poof, gone. Is Castiel dead or still alive inside his vessel trying to fight Leviathan? How on Earth are they supposed to stop creatures from the beginning of time?? Thoughts, comments, ideas, heart-attack moments?

A Circle that Binds Together, Stays Together...for Eternity

Keeping up with pace of TVD, The Secret Circle kept the flow of intensity and suspense. Cassie is still adjusting the recent death of her mother and the sudden move to Chance Harbor, Washington. Despite all of her efforts to avoid the circle, she constantly keeps being drawn to them. The addition of Cassie to the circle has their powers flying out of control. There is no way to stop it, unless they bind the circle.

The binding of the circle, according to Diana's explanation, limits the power of the individual but increases the power of the group as a whole. After her monsoon display in last week's episode, Faye is not quick to agree to limit the power she's wanted for so long so she brushes Diana off. She even at one point makes Cassie's beaker explode in chemistry. In her last desperate attempt, Diana turns to Cassie to agree to bind the circle. Lucky for Faye, Cassie declines. She has no desire to be part of the group and ignores the powers she's been given.

The tension between Cassie and Adam grows strong as well. In private conversation on the beach the two seem very cozy, something that draws Faye's attention. She tortures Diana with the fact that Adam is falling for Cassie and aims to drive a wedge between the two and distract Diana from binding the circle. It seems to work...for a while.

Trouble strikes. At the annual Sea Fair on the boardwalk, Sally (a highly involved member of the student body who befriended Cassie) interrupts a conversation between Faye and Cassie. Faye had been threatening Cassie to stop her using her power. In a fit of rage, Faye pushes Sally and unaware of her power, throws her through the railing of the boardwalk onto the rocks below. Sally dies. Faye is in shock. Mrs. Chamberlain (Faye's mother) brings Sally back to life with a stone she isn't supposed to have, since all the magic stones were destroyed.

Years ago, the previous circle lost a significant amount of members during a meeting. Their parents stripped the circle of their powers and it was forbidden for the rest of the circle's children (a.k.a. Cassie, Diana, Adam, Nick, Melissa, and Faye) to practice witchcraft. Faye's grandfather was a member of the circle that stripped her mother of her powers and when he tells Mrs. Chamberlain he's going to tell the elders what has been happening, she uses the power of the stone to give him a heart attack and he dies.

After the "almost" death of Sally, Cassie agrees to bind the circle as does Faye (sort of). In the car with Adam, Diana also questions if she has to worry about him and Cassie. "Why would you even ask that?" he says. "Because I'm insecure and I love you." In response, he kisses her and replies, "I love you too." Although, it is clearly apparent their is a relationship between he and Cassie. It is a relationship she's trying to avoid and it is only after much hesitation that she gets in the car with him. At midnight on the beach, each of the circle members consents to bind the circle the bonfire before them rises as it is bound.

Personally, I want to know how the relationship between Cassie and Adam is going to affect the circle. Will their feelings for each other cause them to have more power than the entire group together? Also, what are Mrs. Chamberlain's motives? How long will Faye stay quiet before she tries to break the bind linking the circle? Leave your ideas in the comment section and what you thought of the episode!!!

Hybrid Frenzy

After an hour of werewolf-searching, Stefan-hunting, and dead sister/girlfriend communicating festivities, my brain was close to overload. We re-enter the story with Stefan and Klaus in the mountains of Tennessee looking for the rest of Ray's pack. And find it they do. With two vampires (well I guess one vampire and one hybrid) versus at least ten werewolves, Klaus and Stefan easily take the upper hand. After successfully (so Klaus thinks) turning the pack into hybrids, the boys await the time when the group will wake up and Klaus will have his army...

Elena is still defiantly searching for Stefan, obviously not heeding the warning from Damon. Since she knows Damon has given up on his brother, Elena enlists the help of resident werewolf Tyler Lockwood to shed some light on possible areas were a pack of werewolves might be settled.....more specifically Ray's pack because knows if she finds that pack she finds Stefan. After Tyler gives her the coordinates, Elena asks Alaric to go with her. He hesitantly agrees, but Elena is unaware the he has tipped Damon off to what they are about to do. When Damon finds to two hiking through the mountains, he does everything in his power to make a Elena turn around and go home. Of course she refuses and he agrees to let her stay as long as they are gone before moonrise.

But werewolves aren't the only things they have to worry about. Being the first turned, Ray is the first to wake up and it soon becomes apparent that something has gone wrong in his hybrid transformation. His, and later the rest of the pack's, eyes begin to bleed profusely. Ray ends up spazzing out and in an attempt to calm him down, Stefan is bitten and Ray escapes. "Fatal werewolf bite, ouch," Klaus replies. "Yeah, I'm gonna need your blood to heal me," says Stefan."I'll tell you what, you find Ray and the I'll heal you." With a look of shock Stefan blurts, "You can't be serious." "You better hurry cause that bite looks nasty," sneers Klaus. My heart nearly dropped to the floor as I prepared for another Damon-like dying episode.

And who does Ray find when he leaves Klaus and Stefan? Why none other than Damon, Elena, and Ric. After a quick attack against Damon they finally tie Ray to a tree. But something strange happens...Ray begins to turn even though the moon isn't up. Panicking, the three run for their lives, abandoning their mission to find Stefan. At least until Ray, as a wolf, threatens Elena. "Here, doggie doggie," says Damon as he super speeds away and Ray chases after him. Ray ends up being too much for Damon to handle and when it starts to (again) look grim, Stefan rips out Ray's heart to save day. It is in this moment that Damon realizes Stefan isn't beyond saving and at the end of the episode he promises to help Elena save Stefan.

Things don't work out as nicely for Klaus. His hybrid army bleed out to death from a failure in the transformation. "I don't understand," he says and he lists all the instructions he followed. He ends with, "I killed the doppelganger." The immediate stare down between Stefan and Klaus had me on the edge of my seat as I was sure Klaus figured out Elena was still alive. My breath still held he simply replied, "I guess you're the only comrade I have left now." He then hands Stefan a beer bottle filled with his blood. Crisis adverted...at least for the time being.

Other side notes to mention: Tyler shows his mother he's werewolf and she promises not to hurt Caroline. Unfortunately, she calls in a friend, Bill (later revealed to be Caroline's father), to help her with her vampire issues and he is not so easy to let Caroline go. Matt and Jeremy also strike up an unusual relationship as they try to contact Vicki. "Help me," she says again to Jeremy. "What's she saying?" asks Matt. Looking back, Anna takes Vicki's place and she warns Jeremy not to trust Vicki.

Questions still on my mind: Does Klaus really know Elena is alive? Now that Damon told Elena to remember how she feels about him when Stefan isn't there, how will it affect the relationship between her and Stefan? How far is Caroline's father willing to go to "save" is daughter? And last but not least, who is telling the truth? Vicki or Anna?

Thoughts, comments, questions?

Pete and Wendy

Wendy, an all-new web series from Macy's.com, and although the show is not aired on the CW, I thought it worth mentioning since it comes from our favorite producers of TVD, Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec.

As you can already guess, the mini-series is a new, new interpretation of the story of Peter Pan and Wendy and their adventures in Neverland. However, unlike other remakes where the main plot line remains the same, this takes place in modern day with Peter, or Pete, as a teenager, not a young boy. The basis of the show is that Wendolyn, Wendy (Meghan Martin), does not remember her adventures in Neverland from when she was a child. Yet she continues to have dreams about Pete (Tyler Blackburn) and although she doesn't remember why, she has a strange attraction to him.

The first chapter titled, In a Dream and which is only a little over five minute long, shows Wendy at a party in dream where she stumbles upon Pete singing on stage to a crowd of partying kids. When Pete spots her in the crowd he rushes over to her and attempts to grab her hand. As soon as their hands are about to touch, it looks as though he's touching a bubble and when it pops, Wendy finds herself awake and back in present-day reality. She's talking in her driveway with her boyfriend (which obviously won't last very long with Pete around) and her friend when she hears the song from her dream. She follows the man in the car but it's not Pete. Yet, she looks at his fence and spots the portrait she woke up to in the dream and the episode ends.

I believe the first chapter was amazingly done and it keeps that air of mystery and magic that we love so much from our CW shows. Not to mention that Tyler Blackburn is gorgeous, is Peter Pan, and can sing!!! I can't wait til Wendy finally finds him.

Let the Magic Begin

Over all last night, I was extremely please with the outcome of the series premiere of The Secret Circle. The theme song is both catchy and creepy and works brilliantly with tone of the show. It was both intense and romantic and very quirky.

However before I go into my favorite moments I think I should mention the deviations the show makes from the original book series. In the book, Cassie and here mother on vacation in New England. Originally from California, Cassie has the intentions of returning home. When Cassie's mother reveals that her grandmother, who she hasn't spoken to is ill, both Cassie and her mother move to the town of New Salem to live with her. Cassie moves onto a street called Crowhaven Road which only contains twelve houses (the number of remaining families that moved here from Salem), each belonging to a different member of the circle. Her grandmother is old and frail and the house looks shabbier than most of the other houses.

Switch to the show. Cassie mother is murdered by (as we soon learn) the father of the circle's leader Diana. In the book Diana's father was rarely around. This is the reason Cassie moves to live with her grandmother (who is still very much flambouyant). The house is upbeat and modern but still looks like the home of a witch. Instead of moving to New Salem, MA, Cassie moves to the town of Chance Harbor, WA. Unlike TVD where I think the name Mystic Falls works better for the show, I would have preferred the town to still be called New Salem. But these are minor details.

In the books, the families that moved here from Salem tried to hide their grimoires to prevent their kids from practicing ancient magic, for it was extremely dark and dangerous. They more or less practiced rarely or not at all. In the show, the remaining parents/guardians of the current circle, where members of a circle when they were young as well. A meeting that went terribly wrong, caused the deaths of many of the circle members to the point that the old circle disbanded and did everything in their power to prevent their children from continuing to practice.

The only scene that I was disappointed with was Cassie's initiation. In the book she is dragged blindfolded to a beach where the circle members initiate her before the powers and challenge her with a dagger to test her bravery. In the show, they just blurted out that she was a witch. Not as intense as I would have hoped.

I think some of the most significant changes made to the series were the number of coven members and the name changes of certain characters. The book circle contained twelve members (Diana, Adam, Faye, Deborah, Suzan, Sean, Nick, Chris, Doug, Melanie, Laurel, and Cassie) and in the series the circle only contains six (Diana, Adam, Cassie, Nick, Faye, and character named Melissa).

Now the change I was on the fence about was the first meeting of Cassie and Adam. This will bridge into my favorites of the episode. The scene I was most excited to see was the beach scene where Cassie protected Adam from the guys that were chasing him and he gives her the chalcedony stone for protection. In the show, Adam's first conversational meeting with Cassie was at his father's Boathouse Grill where she is "ambushed" by Faye and Melissa. Cassie gets up and leaves and proceeds to her car where it catches fire and she can't get out. Adam of course saves her which was totally hot and although it was a change I didn't want, I end up loving the scene.

I absolutely loved the raindrop scene. It was very romantic and seductive and brilliantly captured immediate attraction and tension between Cassie and Adam. In the glittering, raindrop filled forest the two almost share a kiss when Cassie comes back to reality and runs away from him.

In the end, I think it was an extremely successful series premiere that had me hooked from the beginning. I can't wait to see what the producers have in store for us...especially when the old coven seems to be practicing again...

The Ripper Returns

Thursday night has come and gone but not without the return of The Vampire Diaries (finally). It was an intense hour as the episode opens up a few months after Stefan disappeared with Klaus and began his rampage. The show begins with Stefan and Klaus at a home in Tenneseee (which we later find out is a household of werewolves) where they compel a girl who lives there to show them inside. Both her and her other friend that lives there are threaten into telling Klaus were a man named Ray is located. Once he has his answers, Klaus orders Stefan to dispose of the bodies and he'll be waiting in the car. Stefan, with no hesitation, obeys.

It is also the night of Elena's eighteenth birthday and Caroline is throwing a party for her at the Salvatore boardinghouse. Damon and Elena have been tracking Stefan since he vanished and have been tracing down what Damon calls "half leads." At least until Elena finds out that both Damon and Alaric have been following Stefan without her knowledge. Damon explains to Alaric about Stefan's "signature" Ripper moves as they enter the home of the two girls recently murdered. The two girls (massacred) are sitting serenely on the couch just covered in a little blood until Damon touches one of them and her head falls off. Damon clarifies that after Stefan's bloodlust blackout he feels remorse and puts the bodies back together.

Klaus, we learn, is trying create more hybrid creatures like himself and our noble Stefan is seen torturing Rey (the werewolf) so they can find the rest of his pack. Then Klaus turns him and orders Stefan to get Damon off their trail. Stefan ends up kidnapping Andie Starr and murdering her so he can get Damon to hate him and leave him alone.

Other little tidbits: Caroline and Tyler hook up, Jeremy continues to see Anna and Vicki, Matt gets high, and Carol Lockwood subdues Caroline with vervain darts as she is attempting to sneak out of Lockwood Manor (which I was extremely angry about). Can't the circle (who are completely idiotic by the way) leave the vampires alone? Eventually they are going to lose so why even bother? Just saying.

And a quick tally-->

Damon: Katherine--> Rose-->Elena-->Andie
Jeremy: Parents-->Vicki-->Anna

*Two of our favorite boys are not so lucky in the women department. Damon continually gets hurt and Jeremy is now haunted by his dead girlfriends. *

But what I was really concerned about was the fact the Stefan was committing these murders with no act of mercy or remorse and I was beginning to wonder whether the real Stefan was gone for good, especially when he lost control last time, he at least tried to hesitate when he murdered. But then a tear-jerker moment wiped away my concerns. Stefan tells Klaus, "I don't care about anything anymore," to which Klaus replies, "You never stop caring about family do you Stefan?" At the end of the episode Stefan calls Elena and begins to cry silently and take into account exactly what he's done and how inescapable it is. Is there any hope for Stefan?

Consequences if Stefan abandons Klaus.... not only will Klaus return and kill Damon but he will also find out that Elena is still alive and kill her then he will torture and murder Stefan for lying to him. I think we all crave for the day when Stefan can return to Mystic Falls and say, "Hello, brother," in a completely different context--but how? Ideas??

Holes in the Circle

September 15th is approaching sooner than later everyone and the anticipation for the return of The Vampire Diaries will finally pay off! Along with our favorite Salvatores making their season three return, the CW will also be welcoming a new show based on another book series by L.J. Smith entitled The Secret Circle.

For those of you who have read the books, the story follows the life of a girl named Cassie Blake. She relocates from California to a quaint town by the name of New Salem. Long story short, Cassie is initiated into a "secret circle" of the last remaining descendants of a twelve family coven of witches that settled into New Salem from Salem in 1693. The power of the circle depends on the membership of exactly twelve witches, five boys and seven girls. When the soon-to-be-member is found dead, Cassie inadvertently takes her place.

The twelve members including Cassie are as follows: Diana, Faye, Suzan, Deborah, Doug, Chris, Nick, Laurel, Melanie, Cassie, Sean, and of course Adam. From the previews cwtv.com is providing us and from researching the cast list on imdb.com as well, it is apparent that not all of the members are included. Just like The Vampire Diaries, producers Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec are taking creative licenses with the development of the storyline and the inclusion of characters. So far it seems that the cast includes Diana, Cassie, Faye, Adam, and Nick from the original book version of the coven. The list also mentions another girl in "the club" by the name of Melissa....possibly a redesign of Melanie's character? I'm not sure.

Once again I'll leave the debating to you. Were your favorite coven members cut? Who would you like to see added or deleted to make the show better? Will the creative license taken with the story line pay off? If it's anything like The Vampire Diaries, we can be sure it will.

Prime-time Face-off

September 23rd is not that faraway ladies and gents and the time has almost come for the return of Supernatural! Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles return for a new season (season 7 to be exact) and the stakes are getting higher. With the battle for purgatory switching hands from demon Crowley to newly self-appointed man-in-charge angel Castiel (YIKES!), Sam and Dean have all new evils to face.

With the return of Sam's soul, his memories from his time spent spiritless are resurfacing....and at a dangerous cost to Sam. In an article by Entertainment Weekly, Jared Padalecki comments on our beloved Sammy's condition. "He has such self-doubt that it's crippling." Battle for power and memories from the past causing trouble??? Sounds like our boys are back to deliver us an action-packed season.

There is also the issue that Castiel has self-elected himself "God." This only leads to trouble. An angel who rebelled now in charge of Heaven and Earth? Casualties are certainly in store.

Yet despite their '"normal" supernatural dilemmas, our characters will have to face an all new foe--prime time TV. Supernatural will be airing alongside Fox's Fringe, which will be entering its fourth season. Who will reign supreme? Now I don't know much about the show but I know there are many of you who do. I would love to hear your comparisons and predictions for the upcoming fall season of shows and your opinions on which of the two shows will reign victorious. In the words of Jared Padalecki, "I guess you could say, Bring it."

The Question That's on Everyone's Mind

TVD will officially be returning in less than two weeks (12 days to be exact....yeeepppp!). Now the end of season two left us with a multitude of unanswered questions. What's going to happen with Stefan? Where are he and Klaus headed and what kind of havoc will they leave in their wake? Damon/Elena.....what will become of their relationship?

Yet from everything I've discovered and researched the main question on everyone's mind is.....What's up with the return of Anna and Vicki? Here's a quick recap. In season one, Damon turned Vicki into a vampire sending shock waves through the bodies of many of the fans. She later meets up with Jeremy at the Halloween carnival at Mystic Falls High School, which unfortunately lands Vicki with a stake in the heart.

Fast-forward to the season finale. After Jeremy's brain wipe (courtesy of a certain Mr. D. Salvatore) he begins to rekindle a romance with non other than civil war vampire Anna. Which again leads to an unfortunate fire and the burning of the tomb vampires....Anna included.

Enter in Sheriff Forbes (at the end of season two) searching for Damon after she finds out her best pal in the Founding Families Circle (who defend against vampires mind you) is a vampire himself. As Jeremy is leading Damon into the Mystic Falls Grill and making a quick phone call, S. Forbes bursts in. Aiming for Damon (who super-speeds out of harm's way) her wooden bullet hits Jeremy instead. As Bonnie and Caroline enter in to save him, it's too late. Add some magic (donated by the Bonnie's witch ancestors) Jeremy returns to the world of the living.....but with a dangerous warning for Bonnie.

Jeremy wakes up later that night to a noise in the house, soon to find out Anna and Vicki are there. Now my personal theories....well there's a lot of them. One centers around the idea that Jeremy has possibly inherited some witchy abilities from his journey to the other side----maybe psychic ones? Another idea centers around the fact that he's just dreaming....but that's way too boring for TVD.

Now my question falls to you....what do you think is up with the shocking return of Jeremy's vampire lovers from the past???

Blog Info

In anticipation for the upcoming CW fall season, and in regards to an assignment for my creative writing class for school, I've created a blog to discuss all of our favorite shows of the CW. More specifically, the fantasy ones: The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, Smallville (sniff), and the all new L.J. Smith inspired The Secret Circle.

This blog will be a lot more interesting for all of us if I can get you guys to follow me and comment. Questions, ideas, theories, news about the stars, anything you guys want to discuss. I will post at least three times a week and try to get the discussions going and hopefully try to create an even more enjoyable fall season of our favorite shows.

Hope to hear from you guys! Any ideas for a first post?!?
